Mailchimp's Corporate Citizenship program had evolved from a sponsorship portfolio into a portfolio of community programs — and needed a strategic framework to match. That meant getting clear on their theory of change, defining the right metrics to capture their impact, and building tools that made data collection manageable for the small nonprofits they partnered with.

We started with a facilitated strategy-setting dialogue built around the Theory of Change framework, bringing together executives and core team members to align on the fundamental question: what is the ultimate change we want to make? From there, we developed a robust but user-friendly impact measurement strategy with creative KPIs that captured the spirit of Mailchimp's approach and supported the team through implementation.
