Meet the New Reconsidered
We have a new look! And a new website! And a new way of talking about what we do!
I'm so excited to introduce a new chapter for Reconsidered — one built around a sharper focus, a simpler business model and more spaciousness for the creativity and blue-sky thinking this work demands (and deserves).
Getting here required a lot of tough but necessary decisions over the past several months, many of which flew in the face of conventional (read: capitalistic) wisdom about what it means to grow a business. These questions forced me to get really honest with myself about what I want, what I value and what role I feel best suited to play in this moment of our movement.
In the end, I felt inspired by the possibility of growing inward rather than outward. As spring sprung, I embraced the metaphor of pruning as a way of enabling more focused flourishing. And frequently, I returned to the enduring wisdom of E.F. Schumacher's "Small Is Beautiful" philosophy. Beyond believing it, I started actually living it.
The result is a renewed focus as well as a narrowing down of our offerings, which included closing our beloved Change Hub membership community, sunsetting several of our trainings and getting crystal clear on what we do (and don’t).
So, what do we do? At our core, we're a boutique strategic communications consultancy specialized in sustainability and social impact. Over nearly a decade, we’ve had the privilege of supporting global clients big and small, including Etsy, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew Group, EILEEN FISHER, Maybelline New York, Mailchimp, Target, C&A, BESTSELLER, JACK & JONES, Sir Kensington's, New Belgium Brewing, Autodesk Foundation, Ashoka, Fashion for Good, Textile Exchange, Alliance for Water Stewardship and the UN Development Programme.
Our new website is designed to communicate that focus, as well as the unique skills, experience and point of view I bring to each project (because I'm not just the person selling the services; I'm also the person delivering them).
Check it out, poke around and if you'd like to learn more about how we might support your work, reach out and let’s talk (no hard sells, promise).
P.S. None of this would have come together without some exceptional humans in my corner. A huge thank you to Kelsey Hannon for bringing the new brand to life so beautifully; to Eleni Zervos for shepherding these shifts behind the scenes; to Jessica Lackey, whose business coaching helped me gather the data and the courage to make these decisions with confidence; and to Susan Pohl for six years of wisdom and clarity as a leadership coach, mentor and friend. I'm grateful for you all. 🙏
